Cody and I welcomed a new member into our family July 9, 2011.  

Bringing Boston Home

We drove seven hours to go get him, from a town called Bedford, Iowa.  I was a little nervous about having him in the car that long, but he slept the whole way home.

He is a beautiful Silver Labrador Retriever.  

We noticed right away that he is a HUGE cuddler...

His idea of cuddling usually means laying on my head

He can also be very naughty adventurous :).......

My one requirement for a puppy was to have one that loved to lay on his back...

Mission accomplished.  He is just so precious when he is sleeping.

We chose to name him Boston after Cody's favorite NBA basketball team, the Boston Celtics.  We even bought him a coordinating collar.

It is amazing how such a little thing can become such a huge part of our family.

He is growing up way too fast for me though, it was a sad day when he outgrew his kennel and we had to buy a gate to keep him in the entry way at night!

He hates to be left outside by himself, but loves to look out the window and watch.  What a silly dog!

He has completely taken over our house....

But who can say no to this couch hog when he is this cute?
