yesterday i hosted a personal shower for my {very soon to be} sister-in-law. the weather turned out to be beautiful and i couldn't have asked for a better day. cody and i spent a lot of time last week preparing for the shower. i had the perfect location, but was lacking a table for food. sure i could have rented one, but i was looking for something free and beautiful. now it's time to give proper credit to the star of this post...my amazing husband. poor guy has to put up with a lot from me.
thankfully he had his little buddy to run away with his box of screws assist him.
to start out this project, i needed pallets. thankfully there are a ton around the farm, it was just a matter of picking the right one. i managed to find five perfectly weathered pallets.
boston approved.
so cody began screwing them together.
we used three pallets for the legs of the table and two for the top. it was a fairly easy project...
until we flipped it over and realized it was much too tall for five foot nothing annie and her tiny family. so cody had to start all over and screw the legs to the side of the tops instead of the bottom. and as much as i would love to show you the finished project, you will just have to wait until the next post.
