today we are working on taking down all the remnants of another wonderful Christmas season. hazel insisted on sleeping through most of her first Christmas, while evelyn's second Christmas turned out to be exciting and magical and overwhelming all wrapped up into one. there is something to be said about experiencing the excitement of the holidays all over again through your children's eyes, even if they are over opening presents before Christmas Day even arrives. hopefully she gets a second wind when it comes to presents because we have a second birthday to celebrate in a few days!
